Modernism modernized
Keith Coventry is a member of the Young British Artists; a group of UK artists, including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, who exhibited at the Royal Academy’s definitive Sensation exhibition. Coventry is known for paintings and sculptures that intentionally manipulate the legacy of Modernism in order to express the conditions of contemporary urban life. Coventry was born in 1958 in Burnley, England. He studied Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic and Chelsea School of Art in London, England. His work has been exhibited widely in the UK and Europe and is included in collections worldwide; including the British Council, the Tate Modern, the Arts Council of England, the Walker Art Centre and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.More...

Colette Hosmer James Esber Levi van Veluw Marcus Jansen

Colette Hosmer is a contemporary naturalist who is celebrated internationally for her outdoor sculptures and installation work with organic materials. Hosmer’s work has been exhibited in prestigious museums throughout the world. Her work is among the permanent collections of the City of Xiamen, China Tianjin, China; City of Yanqing, China; New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe, NM; The Albuquerque Museum - Albuquerque, NM: The Eitlejorg Museum, Indianapolis, IN and Contemporary Artspace - Potsdam, Germany. Hosmer is represented by William Siegal Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

James Esber is a Brooklyn-based artist who is best known for his Plasticine works that address notions of distortion, stereotyping, and perception. Esber’s works have been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe, including in institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum of Art; Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH; Tampa Museum of Art; Chicago Cultural Center; Laguna Art Museum; Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art; Cape Museum of Fine Arts; Huntsville Museum of Art; Akron Museum of Art and the Norton Museum of Art.

Levi van Veluw is a multidisciplinary artist best known for his self-portraits that document his creative process. His works have been included in many world-renowned exhibitions including; the Marischal Museum in Aberdeen, Scottland; Stedelijk Museum Schiedam Otto L. Schaap, Holland zonder Haast, Scheringa Museum; C-Space gallery Beijing, China; and the Scope Art Fair, Basel. Van Veluw was the winner of IPA International Photo Awards' Fine Arts Photographer of the year in 2007 and he was awarded 1st place in the Art Interview - 10th International Online Artists’ Competition.

Art Interview Online Magazine is proud to introduce the works of Marcus Jansen, first place winner of the Art Interview - 9th International Online Artists’ Competition. Jansen’s works have been included in International Biennials and can be found in museum collections such as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art and the Smithsonian Institution. Jansen is represented by MW Gallery - Museum Works Galleries in Aspen, Colorado.

The Art Interview - 28th International Online Artists’ Competition is a quarterly, international, juried competition of artworks in any medium. It is open to all living artists worldwide aged 16 and up. Participation in the Art Interview Biennale Exhibition may be awarded to each winner. First place winners may receive up to € 10,000 plus a featured interview in Art Interview Online Magazine.

The competition is run completely over the Internet, which eliminates the need for you to send slides or arrange for physical transportation of your artworks.
